The Alliance of Artists Communities is a "national and international association of artists’ communities and residencies — a diverse field of more than 1,000 programs worldwide that support artists of any discipline in the development of new creative work".

American Abstract Artists (AAA) is a democratic, artist-run organization, which exists to expand ideas and promote the exposure and understanding of abstract and non-objective art. Founded in 1936, AAA is committed to organizing and circulating abstract art in the following ways: organizing member exhibitions, producing member print portfolios and catalogues, distributing published materials internationally to cultural organizations, documenting member history in the Archives of American Art, publishing a journal every three years, and hosting critical panels and symposia.

Bob Ragland, founder of "Not Starving Artist", is a versatile artist, as well as an outstanding art coach. Bob educates both emerging and professional artists on the practical realities of making a living as an artist. He has been instrumental in helping me to develop my career. He is also a dear friend.

This non-profit organization does a wonderful promoting the visual arts in Denver through newsletters announcing events, workshops, artist lectures, and studio tours.

I had the privilege of studying under Dale Chisman, now deceased. Dale was an abstract artist of immeasurable stature.

One of my special mentors, Homare Ikeda was born in Yoron Island, a small subtropical island near Okinawa, Japan, often called the "Pearl of Asia." Homare states: "Now I live in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by mountains, very far away from my hometown. I hold my paintbrushes at the foot of the mountains, longing for the bottom of the ocean. Ocean is the root of life as well as origin of my creations. Mountain is my vanishing point. My work is about wonder, longing and quest."

Michael Gadlin's 15-year repertoire expresses an uninterrupted brush stroke of Mediterranean, European and Western influences. Michael was my first mentor for my abstract works.

The Other Side Arts (TOSA) is a "nonprofit dedicated to encouraging personal expression, building community, creating dialogue, and increasing tolerance through art. TOSA provides arts instruction and exhibition opportunities to historically underserved populations, youth, artists, and the general public. TOSA creates an exploratory environment that emphasizes inclusion and inherent worth".
