Love is everything. Color intoxicates. My desire is to connect with people emotionally through my art - to create an oasis of beauty and joy.

After much experimentation, I developed a formula using acrylic paints & medium which result in a stained-glass appearance. This paint mixture requires that I work on flat surfaces, rather than on easels. I prefer to paint without brushes, working on very smooth canvas or paper, to reduce the appearance of traditional brush strokes. I apply layer upon layer of thin, transparent paint to create depth and intensity of color. This process of layering is integral to my work. It is the physical manifestation of my thought process.

The color yellow, although not always visible in the finished work, is a thread that flows through each of my paintings. For me, including the warmth of yellow is a deeply personal symbol of optimism. It is a metaphor for my life.
